Whether you're time poor and you need a quick meal or you've just had a strenuous training session, protein shakes are always a good idea. They're nutrient dense and rather easily digested with decent satiety, because, well protein and fat* keep you satisfied.
*assuming you make your protein shake with milk (or mylk). And if you don't, you should. You'll be fuller for longer and decrease recovery time after training. Win win.
The addition of midas cUp is an obvious one due to its anti-inflammatory properties, and if you're on the sugar-free bandwagon (hope so) then a little midas cUp will give your sugar-free shake a nice tasty boost.
Iced Protein Shake
- 2 scoops vegan protein powder, any flavour
- 1.5 cups of milk or mylk
- 1 tsp midas cUp
- 1 cup of ice (optional)
- If you're using ice, blend everything. You end up with a nice 'iced frappe' consistency, wonderful to cool down in Summer.
- If you're not using ice, you can shake everything as normal.
That's it. So easy.
